Head of Business Operations at Bankbarn
Location: Hybrid (WFH and Office in Minneapolis-Saint Paul Metro Area)
Full-time, Permanent
WHO WE ARE
Bankbarn is a fast-growing start-up transforming Ag finance with an innovative lending marketplace which delivers flexible, competitive capital, fast to help farmers grow their operations and enhance profitability. We currently go to market direct to farm via our online platform and with our strategic channels, including dairy equipment dealers.
In our beachhead market, dairy equipment, we currently have 10 dealer partners, which represent over 10% of the US dairy equipment industry. We have 4 active lending partners funding loans and leases. We are also beginning to explore feeding equipment, barn construction, and solar equipment markets as well.
YOUR MISSION
As a foundational member of the team, Head of Business Operations will report to the CEO of the company and will be responsible for:
Ownership of lending operations, which includes both process and strategy (Pre-approval to closing, while managing client/borrower relationships and leading the process)
Ownership of the funding and capital markets portfolio and strategy (including supporting and managing bank partner relationships)
Optimization of all workflows to maximize approvals, efficiency, and profitability
Leading and executing other business operations, including: AR, AP, supporting month-end financial reporting, and other tasks as needed.
Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented and has excellent skills in finance, communication, problem-solving, and decision making.
YOUR PROFILE
Right to work in US
Bachelor of Arts/Science degree in Agribusiness, Business, Economics, or related field
5+ years' experience in Ag lending, loan origination, loan servicing, loan structuring, restructuring, Agri-finance, or related field
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job
Experience building and managing relationships with banking/finance partners, specifically the credit and underwriting team
Robust problem-solving skills and ability to lead teams in solving complex/persistent problems
Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities
Exceptional leadership abilities
Experience working in a fast paced, early stage, dynamic start-up or scale-up

Business Development Manager at Bankbarn

YOUR MISSION
As a key member of the sales team, you will be focused on helping Bankbarn to grow our partner network and grow revenue. You report to the CEO of the company and will be specifically responsible for:
Growing our channel partnerships, with a focus on existing channels (dairy/livestock equipment), as well as exploring new channels (livestock feeding equipment, general Ag equipment, Ag retail, solar, construction, etc.)
Customer relationship management of existing partners as well as new partners
Collaboration with our lending team to ensure our partners have an efficient and effective financing pre-approval through closing process
Attending key industry meetings and trade shows, content creation/collaboration with marketing, and other activities to support sales growth
Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented and has excellent skills in sales, marketing, and understands the Ag market.
YOUR PROFILE
Right to work in US
Bachelor of Arts/Science degree in Agribusiness, Business, Economics, or related field
5+ years' experience in Agricultural Sales or related position
Preferred experience building and managing relationships with Ag equipment dealers/Ag retailers or related market segment
Robust problem-solving skills and ability to lead teams in solving complex/persistent problems
Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities
Exceptional leadership abilities
Experience working in a fast paced, early stage, dynamic start-up or scale-up
